Wondering what gearing folks are using on their SS SnoBikes?

Using Sheldon Brown's spreadsheet to calculate in 'Meters of Development' (MD):
http://www.sheldonbrown.com/gears/

Assuming Endomorphs on Marge rims - avg. tire pressure...closest assumption on the spreadsheet is 29 inch (700x56)...175 crank length.

I'm running 35, 38 CR & 19, 21 COG = 3.9MD, 4.2MD, 4.3MD, 4.7MD

Any comparative numbers out there!

i'm in n minnesota. riding mostly hilly singletrack and snowmobile trails. running 32 x 22 w/ nokian 3.0s on a surly 1x1. could use a lower gear after 2-3 hours of riding...
i'll probably run a 5-6 gear setup next winter w/ some mods to the surly.

40-42 inch gear

Martin,
I used a 32x20 on my 26" snowbike with 2.4 tires, which equates to roughly a 42 inch gear. I used a 29x20 on my 29er to get the same gear and it worked fine. But with the Endomorphs I'm using a slightly smaller gear in the 38-40 range because of the higher rolling resistance. For general fun riding I'm using a 22x16 = 40 inch gear and I'm not a hammer on the bike like you, but this may be a good start.
I think Bearbait is close to what I'd recommend.

Have a great setup on one of the Pugs' that folks might find interesting...still refining some of the parts and all but...my own interpretation of...

the Derailleurless Multi-Speed (DMS)

maybe a separate post....

SS or DMS Gearing...revisited....

Laying up some bikes and was wondering if anyone had anything to add re: gearing on fatwheels...Marges running Endomorphs.

How'about some of the wider layups...80 and 100mm spreads?

Pugs SS

My Pugs was originally built as a SS 32/20 which did not seems adequate for changing snow conditions on such a heavy bike - changed to 32/26 up front and a 13/32 8-speed in the rear which seems low enough to climb anything I can keep traction with the Endos - also went to the long 17 degree Salsa bars for low speed leverage.
