Hi All,

Just moved to Springfield, Tennessee and I am having a little trouble finding good single track for an after work burner ride. I work in North-West Nashville so I drive north to Springfield. Trying to do something close to in route home.

Any suggestions?

Springfield. If you're in North Nashville, the stuff closest to you is going to be the new loop in Cedar Hill park (more coming there soon, hopefully another loop by this fall) Lock 4 (fairly easy, good place to ride even on days when you don't think you can do the whole trail because it's easy to break up and get out where you want to, and always fun in spite of its relative lack of features) or one of the Clarksville trails (North ford is kind of short, but a nice change, and drains well when wet, Rotary Park can be fun, but I only ride it when it's frozen solid in the winter because otherwise it's simply too popular a park, too many people, too many of them with headphones in). If you really get desperate for a little taste of something different, the Portland trail is there - I don't know what kind of shape it's in.

There's a huge lack of trails up around Springfield - in fact, the only trail I'm aware of in northern MidTN that lies between I24 and I65 is Cedar Hill. I'm off this week, and granted the weather looks potentially crap, but PM me if you want a tour of any of these places. I'll ride with you.
