Does anyone know where I can find good info about this course? How about a good map of the course?

Thanks,

I've done it three times. It is an out and back course of approximately 44 miles. Check out this link (it's not mine, i just pulled it off motionbased). It gives you the full data on the course. http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/activity/3427745

The trail itself is mainly double track with some gnarly single track. It is much more difficult technically than the 100. The race atmosphere is awesome, and they have beer at the finish!! I highly recommend it on its own or as a tune up for the 100, if yer doin' that.
The course is much harder (climbing aspect)than most people expect. I figured it would be half as hard as the LT 100 so no problem..... I was absolutely wrong!!!!
Very very difficult course!!

Is that a Wing Nut pack you're wearing? How do you like it?

Yes, it is. I love the Wing Nut, I have the Hyper 3.0. It is the best biking pack I've tried. The wing pockets make it so you have access to so much while riding.; it's really great if you don't like to stop. That said I don't really like it for other uses, hiking it's ok, but if you pick up the pace and do some running it is bouncing all over the place. The access and the lower center of gravity really make it great for cycling.
+1 on the wingnut 3.0!!

They have awesome customer service too!!! Awesome!

I had certain parts of my pack that started to fall apart so i called them to get it fixed. I rode the heck out of it the last three years.

He explained to me that the parts that i wore out were due to wear and tear which i totally agree with. He then offered to sell me anything i wanted for cost since i wore mine out.

I did not piss and moan or complain about my old pack wearing out, they were just that nice to give me a new pack at cost.

Oh yeah, they are still made in the US

I just might sign up for the Silver Rush 50. It looks interesting. Does the race fill up before the deadline? In other words, do I need to register soon?

I have my name in the 100 lottery. The Silver Rush 50 would be good practice for that race; or perhaps the 100 would be good prep for the 50 were the events reversed in time.
