I have an older sid from around 2015 or 2016, it has solo air and motion control with xloc sprint. I really am not impressed with its action. Too firm and doesn't use its travel. If I lower the air pressure it just drops down into its travel and still ramps up too much. Should I try a debon-air kit to give me better travel? Is a charger conversion worth it for a 100mm fork. This is on a nice hardtail.

The Debonair kit for that Sid is just a different seal head and won't do much if you service the airspring regularly. It does have a nice bushing setup and it is fairly cheap. The Charger up grade made the biggest improvement in the '17 XX that I had as the low speed adjustment actually works and it didn't spike on the bigger hits.

The MOCO damper chokes with any repeated impacts and the Xloc was always needing a bleed at the worst times.

I you are interested I have a Charger upgrade kit with lockout that I can sell at a great price, the guy that bought my XC bike didn't want the remote and I had another damper to install.

Thanks, That was what I thought. I really don't like the lockout, I prefer to leave my fork open all the time, especially with only 100 mm of travel. I've been spoiled lately by riding fox grip 2 and a DVO diamond. I would love to get this fork to have some of that damping feel and at least some small bump compliance.
