I have an opportunity to change 100mm travel forks on my ANTHEM X.

Rock Shox SID World Cup 2009 model versus Fox F100RL 2009 model.

This isn't a weight savings issue {FOX=1500g SID=1465g}.
However, the adjustability of the SID is much greater:
positive/negative air pressure, rebound, and compression. Also has external floodgate and lockout.
The FOX only has:
air pressure, rebound, and lockout.

These would be used for XC racing, training, and fun rides; nothing too extreme...
I have ridden the FOX F80RL on my old bike for 3 years and thought it was really strong and reliable.

The questions I have are:
1) Is this change a true upgrade?
2) How does the SID ride?
3) Is the SID reliable?
4) What would be a reasonable price for the used SID fork?

Thanks in advance!
