You can either lose damper oil into the lowers, or lose lower bath oil into the damper.

Sid charger RL damper. Where do I loose oil?
After I lost all compression damping on my new sid select I removed the damper and filled the oil to manual level.
It solved the problem for one month, and now compression damping only start 1/2 of the stroke.
Did not open it up, but where can I loose oil in a closed cartridge?
