I just picked mine up so I'm super excited, and there doesn't seem to be any picture thread yet. Enough talking, here we go!
Did you say post more pictures at once? Don't mind if I do.OH NO! I've haven't even got my Turner Flux back from the builder yet and you've got me lusting after a Spearfish!
Remove these pictures at once! :madmax:
I always hoped Santa Cruz would make a light 29er version on the Superlight. Now Salsa have done a brilliant job. Santa Cruz's loss is Salsa's gain.
Love it! I have a mascot too, if you click the pic and make it bigger you should be able to make him out just above the shock. Not quite as impressive as yours but my girlfriend says it suits me more :bluefrown:Don't make my Spearfish angry. You won't like it when it's angry.
I have had several bikes all with Avid brakes. Almost every one has had the turkey gobble issue at one point or another so with the mere mention of a brake upgrade the shop I bought this from jumped on the chance to sell me on the new XT brakes (M785 Ice??). They made me a smoking deal on an upgrade so I figured why not and being a loyal SRAM guy I must admit the brakes are stellar, at least the first 100 miles. As far as the rear, mine is real stiff so I definitely think you need the hub axle tightened up. Would take it back to the shop real fast.I like what you've done to your bars. Did you get new brakes too?
Also, do you notice any play in the rear hub (wheel)? I felt like the rear end was kinda flexy but then I thought it was just the chainstay design doing what it was supposed to do. Then I realized the rear wheel is kinda loose. I can wiggle it just a little bit when its locked in.
