I have a 2010 Uzzi, and the shoulder bolts are constantly coming loose. I have to tighten the bolts after every ride, or if the trail is rough I will have to tighten mid ride. Has anybody else experienced this? If so how have you handled it?
I'd just like to add, for those that are lurking and trying to decide if they want to purchase an intense. I love the bike, super fun, fast, most enjoyable bike I've owned so far.
Agree. I had the same problem on my first gen SS. Put a little bit of blue locktite on each of the four bolts on the top link and end of issue for the season. You may have to re-apply the locktite after a year or so.
Are you setting them at the proper torque? I have to torque mine back down every couple of months. Checking them has just become a part of my routine maintenance.
Don't know about the Loctite.
I use Anti-Seize. Its a silver paste grease that allows even torquing of the bolt and, like its name implies, keeps the bolt from seizing. Used for Engine head bolts and lug nuts, etc.
Never have mine come loose. Not on the SS1, the M6 or my new M9.
NAPA or auto parts store.
