I was given a wheelset (XT hubs/Sun 18 rims) that had virtually no miles on them. The last time they were ridden was six years ago. Should I re-grease the hubs? Is there a lifespan of grease regardless if the wheels have been ridden or not?

Don't wish you'd done an overhaul

If you're good at it, an overhaul never hurts. I've got a new set of Crossmax's and they gave out after one year. I'm wishing I had done a little maintenance on them a month ago.
