Hi,

I come one more time after this forum asking for advice. In my search of a good freeride machine I have come to decide buying a Norco Six. I got a very good deal on a 2005 model, the only issue though (might or might not be an issue), is that it's a medium size bike -I am 5'7" height.

This is my would be my seriuos freeride machine, and i not quite sure about what size should it be (smaller? bigger? equal than my XC bike). Is a Medium size the right one for me, or should I spend some extra money getting a small size?

Thanks for your help.

Happy rides

Without knowing all your measurements and how you like your bike to feel it'd be a shot in the dark to say it fits or not. If you already own one bike and like the fit then just compare the specs and if it's within the ability of being able to make it fit with small adjustments(stem, seatpost, etc) then go for it.

I have been using Cdales for a while in medium size; which I think are a little bigger than medium size´s from other brands. The Norco Six (medium) has relatively the same measurements (top tube, chainstay and seat tube) as the Cannondale I use rigth now. However, I have no clue if a freeride bike should be smaller, larger or equal than a XC bike.

Should a cock-pit in a freeride and XC bike be about the same size, or do they differ due to their particular purposes?

Cheers,
