If I have either my front or rear break fully depressed I can still spin my wheels. If I have them both fully depressed the bike will lock up. Shouldn't the brakes fully lock with just one handle depressed? Or is this just how disc brakes work. Combined they offer maximum stopping power. The rear is definitely more powerfull than the front. I'm new to all of this stuff, so was just curious.

Thanks for your input.

They're Hayes Hydraulic HFX-9 HD V8's. I have a 2006 Kona Stinky. I have gone riding about 6 times so far. With 3 of those being full days at Whistler. Maybe they just need some good cleaning.

By the way, I have always been curious who the girl in your pic is.
