I have an older Schwinn with a Sturmy Archer 3 speed and I want to rebuild it. What shops still work on that era bike? (late 60's - mid 70's) I enjoy the older bikes for cruisers.

Thanks

Shawn at our store on the Hill (which is closed for the winter break till Jan 18) loves that stuff. He likely could help you out.

The best guy to talk to is a fellow by the name of Sean at Luxury Lowriders here in Golden. He know's antique bikes better than ANYONE in the front range. He restored my 1962 schwinn and we bought a 1932 Lenox. All he does is custom or antique bikes.

He advertises a lot on Craigslist

He has restoration parts onsite and knows how to ensure it has authentic or close to authentic parts.

Call 303-832-7942 or 407-257-5581

I.E.'s post above sounds ideal, but if you're in Denver there is Cycle Analyst near Wash Park. Every time I've been in there someone is working on some strange antique and they
seem to have a lot of odd and old parts.

sounds like IE's guy is the one to go to, our guys know the stuff but are not super enthusiasts like that.
