hi peeps, i ride on platforms and was thinkin of gettin some new shoes since my nike crosstrainers are a bit old and worn. i was thinkin of the Five Ten Impacts since i have read many good reviews on their stickyness to the pedals. but now i have read that a shoe with a stiffer sole is better for power transfer and endurance. hence my question is:

what are ur recommendations on shoes for pedal mashing? aka platform shoes haha.

thanks.

I always use platforms off road.. and the 5/10's are great shoes. Combined with the pedal-pins, you are never going to slip off. The 5/10's are really 'grippy'.

I only use platform pedals and would wear stiff approach shoes. I forgot my shoes one day on the way to the trail and bought some shimano shoes that are SPD or for platform. my lord, the difference in pedaling power is crazy. I'm so much faster now. never thought it would make a difference but it really does.
