I've just got a new (used) frame with a Fox DHX 3.0 shock. The spring that is on the shock is too heavy for my weight so I'm going to replace it. My question is; does the new new spring need to be an exact match as far as shock stroke is concerned (2.55) or do I have a margin that I can work with? I've found a couple of springs on eBay at the suitable weight, but they are for a 2.80 stroke. Some clarity on this would be greatly appreciated.
Peace,
Steve

Just ask what the overall length is. If it'll fit on the shock the 2.8 will work fine. Since you're going to a lighter weight spring it may not be a lot longer than what you've got on there now.
