ok I just got a splice and plan on changing to the stiff spring so while it is apart, I may or may not change the oil(depends on the response to this)...i am 210 pounds and not real hard on a bike...so what weight oils do you guys run, or should I ask what are some suggestions on what i should use in this fork? any input would be appreciated as this is my second fork(the first was the 63mm rst that came in my trek....

I would just stick with the recommended weight oil.
Mantou has always recommended either Maxima or Motorex fork oils. Mostly in 5wt.
Now that I'm thinking about it. I don't know that you have to drain the damper fluid to change the spring. Isn't that splice got a semi bath system like my Minute1? If thats the case you'll need some Manitou Semi Bath fluid for the slider assembley and some good bike grease like Buzzies Slick Honey or Manitou Prep M.
( The new stuff, not the old Prep M ).
