I have an '07 blur w/ a RP23, large volume air can.
I never switch on the propedal, IMHO the idea of getting a VPP bike is to not need a platform.
I had a Stumpy FSR and that thing required it.

Anyway - would I be just as well served by using a Float R? I was thinking it might even be an improvement.
Anyone have ride both?

I'm really happy with my Blur Classic and the RP23. I like having it on I believe the 3 setting and with a flick of the propedal, it's locked out to almost like a hardtail. for the other settings, I can customize it for pretty much all riding conditions.

I hear ya. I too have an 07 BXC with RP23 and I can count on one hand the number of times I've ever turned on the pro-pedal while on a trail. I feel the VPP is so good there's no need. Truthfully, about the only time I ever turn it on is when I'm riding hard on paved pathways, however, there's no harm in having it. I'm glad I do, and I wouldn't swap it.
