Shock Compatability

I have a friend with a brand new 2008 Float RP2 that came on his Rocky Mountain Slayer (he swapped it for a DHX). Does anyone know if the "custom valving" this is suppose to come with would work on my 2007 GT i-drive 5? Would it be worth the upgrade from my base float? I asked the GT forum but no help there.
