I have a 2003 marzocchi shiver and I was wondering who made aftermarket direct mount stems for them. I need one longer than my stock marzocchi one.

Also does anyone know where I could get a tall upper crown for a shiver. I would buy or trade for used one if anyone has one. I have the standard one right now and my bike has a really long headtube so when I bottom my tire hits the underside of the lower crown.

I don't know about anyone making direct mount stems fot the shiver other than Marzocchi. There are 2 stems the shorter on is 1mm or 13mm in length depending on what holes you use, the other on is longer I believe it is something like 43mm to53mm or something close to that. I called marzocchi U.S about a month ago and ordered the drop crowns for the shiver, at that time they said they had 12 left in stock.

I dont know if they ever made taller crowns. I think it was intended to be more a low a-c fork. I wanted a little longer stem as well. so I just put my old hussefelt stem back on.

Marzocchi still has the taller crowns or also called drop crowns in stock if you call them. I had to order them for my giant dh for the same reason. Just call up Marzocchi or have your lbs order them for you.

www.funnmtb.com also makes direct mount stem for the Shiver , but its not longer than the marzocchi stem.
I havent seen any directmounts longer then the Marzocchi stem.
