im looking to keep my nice new spiked platform pedals from destroying my shins. the shin/knee combos are a bit too restricting for me. looking to get something decent without breaking the bank. these fox bmx shin pads seem like exactly what im looking for, but does anyone have any other suggestions?

i havent ruled out duct taping some foot long 2x4's to the fronts of my shins

Yeah,

I love the Lizard Skin Shin Pad. A little hot,but what aint. I have used them
for a while with no complaints.

are the lizard skins full wraps? i like that the fox bmx ones are a little thinner in back.. trying to stay pretty light.. when i skated i only fell when i wore pads, i dont do too well with bulky hinderances

The Fox ones are the best IMO.
Thicker in the front and thinner in the back, kind of a reverse mullet.

I know someone who tried soccer chin guards, it was no bueno.
