Do the calipers mount directly to the fram or is there a additional spacer required like the lx deore calipers? If anyone has a pic of there setup i would greatly appreciate it.

I don't have them, but the 965s appear to be IS mount only:

So you bolt them staright to your frame; the 966s are post mounted.
