Hi,

I've got a choice of 2 brake sets for my new bike, Shimano XT or Hope Mini, the price difference I'm offered is negligible

and I cant make my mind up between these two hydraulic sets

which are best, performance/weight wise ?

Flip a coin, hopes have more bling but the XT are very nice. I have the '04 XT's and they have been great the last 300 miles and I'm 210#. I think the hopes are lighter. But XT really easy to deal with, plus you get both resin and metallic pads. I like short throw levers and the XT lever fit me better, if you can try them out first, uno finger, both can lauch you easy, enjoy the new ride!
