Hi there, not sure if this has been asked already. But I was wondering if the Shimano XT dyna-sys groupset is compatible with the Sram x0 crankset, in particular the 22-33-44 crank. I don't like Shimano dyna-sys's 24-32-42 crank. Alternatively, could I use an old 9 speed Shimano crank that's 22-32-44?

Thank you

To my knowledge, the spacing between a 9sp and 10sp triple is the same, and i've been using a shimano lx crank with a 9sp middle ring and 10sp granny and big ring without any problems. I would imagine that you should be able to use either the shimano crank or the sram crank.

The sram may have a different ramp and pin setup for improved shifting, but i'm not sure if those dofferences would give you any problems with a shimano chain.

Hope this helps. also check out the sticky at the top of the forum category about 10 speed compatibility
