I don't have the exact shoe / pedal combo but very similar and it works fine.

Anyone know if the xc9 shoe is compatible with a platform spd like the newer m8201.
Currently running the m9100 but thinking the bigger platform would give a better landing spot when getting back in the pedals during tech sections

I use XC7 with no problem. The XC9 has a similar sole height. Worst cast you might have to trim the tread a bit.
Thanks. Just seeing that the cleats come with a shim. I assume it will help the treads clear the platform.
