I need to attach an newer PM shimano disc brake to an IS mount fork...

Are the Shimano IS adpters interchangable between different Shimano brakes? I can't seem to find the answer to this question anywhere.

yea just match the rotor size and front or rear

Thanks, picked up the correct adapter at a LBS. Completed the install of a Shimano BR-M486 Hydro brake set on my wife's new 2011 Specialized Myka HT. What an amazing difference!!! Buttery smooth, no grabbing, silent! A HUGE improvement over the POS Tektro mech brakes it came with...
