I'm working on a bike build for a Ventana El Capitan I've been saving for. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the shimano Hone gruppo incluiding the dual control levers?:skep:

Love it.

I have the Hone shifter/brake lever and brakes and I find they work as well as the Saint/XT, better than XTR, better than Avid Juicy 5/Ultimates, better than Hayes 9 or mags. The only brakes that I have used that I found had more power were the considerable heavier Codes and Gustavs.
I have run the Hone cranks and rear derailleur and although they have been sold with other projects I would not hesitate to use them again.
However, I have not had good luck with Shimano's freehubs on their regular hubs i.e. XT, Hone, Deore etc and I am a staunch advocate of through axle front hubs so I have not tried the Hone hubs and I currently run the Saint hubs.
