Hey gang,
I just bought a set of Velocity Blunt wheels with Shimano XT hubs for $150. :D
Problem is, I purchased a Shimano lock ring and it's completely the wrong thread pitch. :madman:
For the M756 what lock ring do I need? The one I bought was a 40M-n.
Thanks.

It's the M756 printed right on the hub.
I'm a machinist by trade, so cross threading was my first concern.
It's threading properly. SEEMS like a different thread.
Does anyone know the thread on the cassette body?

I do not know the specific thread pitch, but they are all the same.

I'm not using a cassette. I'm using a single cog with spacers....SS.
The spacer, cog, spacer is exactly .060" over the end of the cassette body,
so that's perfect.
The lock ring I purchased is black and made of some kind of magnesium/aluminum.
It's shaped like:
_______________
___ / \____
____ ____
________________

I think I need the one shaped like:

______________________
___ ___
________________

yeah...that's it...
