There's a taiwanese component company called Di Yung that you might be interested in. Or is it a fork maker? I forget, either way....
I don't have any experience with the Wellgos. However, the Shimano 520 pedals are heads and shoulders above their previous bargin clipless, the 515. Performance-wise, the 520 is on par with the tried and true 535, Shimano's last great XT level pedal from the mid to late '90's. The 520 binding mechanism is similar to the 959 and 540, with only a minor weight penalty.

I do have a knock against them: the finish leaves much to be desired. Whereas my 535's, which I've been riding since 1997, are simply scraped up and worn, my year old 520's are developing some surface rust where the chrome treatment has flaked off on the bindings, and the springs have a touch of oxidation as well. Regardless, they're functioning fine, and would still recommend them as a great deal if you can find them in the $30 price range.
