Installing a new rohloff on a surly 1x1 rat ride, I have the chainline lined up, but I could either shim the rotor out a little, or trim the inside of the caliper body to get the rear brake lined up properly, anybody have any suggestions?

Yeah, that makes the most sense Dad, it could be really quick and easy with some flat alum fender washers, or I could go the extra mile & get some flat alum sheet, and make a gasket type of shim so the entire surface of hub is in contact with the rotor. It's no rush so I'll probably do it with the flat sheet

Check around on-line or with your LBS...you can probably get shims made for this that come in a couple of different sizes; you can mix-and-match to get the exact clearance you need.
