I have been running Shimano shift brake combo units w/ mechanical disc brakes for the past few years. Recently I purchased a set of XT shifter pods as I want to try hyd. brakes. I looked @ a Grimica sys. 8 and it appers the master cyl. would hit the pods gear indicator. Are some brakesets not compatible w/ some shifter pods ? Thanx

Just move the shifters in or out on the bars, and rotate both the brake and the shifters until you're happy.. There's shouldn't be any problems.

you can take off the indicators too if you don't really need them
