Due to the date of the race (Labor Day), I had to make a deal with the family. I get to ride it every other year and this year is one where I hang with the family.

Airport? Harrisonburg but I'm not sure it offers jet service. Dulles might be an option but it's probably a 3 hour drive.

I'll be vying for SS DFL.

Did it last year with gears. I'll be there this year with one and only one. I"m nowhere near ready, but it's still gonna be a great ride!

You should def. do it. It's a great race - you get to ride the finest single track on the east coast.

My (ahem) quasi-sponsor is providing all the beer you can possibly drink if you're interested in the Rock Star award.

Dulles would be the best airport to fly into in terms of tix and ease. Jet Blue has a straight shot there (no layover!!) from Long Beach, SAC and Oakland for cheap if you're coming from Cali. It's just over a 2 hr drive.
