Has anyone ever used one of the Sette Ryde seatposts?

This seems like a really easy price to swallow just to try one out.

Thudbuster is a bit too pricey for me, especially since I would consider this a convenience rather than a necessity.

Since there are no reviews on this product, I'm interested in finding out if it does the job.

I took advantage of the deal but had to get a shim 27.2-30.9 so It can fit into the 30.9. I hear nothing but good reviews from most of the Sette products. I am into non hardcore XC so it shouldn't be that bad. I'll get use to the bike again and go into harder challenges to test it out. Glad someone else was interested in it!
Sette does ok. Better than a stock post if you don't do any rough stuff. I bought one of the Sette lever adjustable seatposts about a year ago when they were on sale. Its is one that has the lever for letting the seat up and down while you ride. Its too bad they dont sell that particular model seatpost anymore because it was well worth the $35 I paid for it.
Thanks for the opinions. I think I'll pick one up to try. My new bike is a HT 29er after 12 years on FS bikes, so this could help ease me in to it.

I didn't see any mention of travel length on this post. Does anybody know?
I know this isn't as good as a real answer, but maybe it can help a bit. I took the picture of the seatpost and used the known seatpost diameter (27.2 mm) to get a correlation between image pixels and physical distance. Using that I measured the travel to be around 41.5 mm. Hope that helps... :)
I have used a lot of Sette products over the years. Most notably their shoes which I think are the best deal going. A couple products I bought broke prematurely and Price Point in one case sent me a new one, and in another case refunded my money. And I didn't even have to send the old part back! So IMHO you have nothing to lose by trying out this post if it fits.
I get mine this Tuesday so I will ride the crap out of it Wednesday and give my opinion.
Just received it today. This sucker is built like a hammer! I love the design and the weight is so so but since I XC I don't care about weight. Takes a bit of tweaking but It's easy. It doesn't bounce to the point it will break and it doesn't hurt your ass.

I am glad I bought this. Maybe I'll try the Thudbuster after this post breaks which will take quit some time.

Don't forget your shims as well!

I am also thinking about picking one up
I do wish Sette made springs depending on ones weight. Still, I enjoy this spring.

holy smoke I agree. I have been riding a pair of Sette Element shoes for 3 years without complaint. Way more comfortable than they should be and so freakin durable.
Which model seatpost did you get? the air model?

How do you like it so far?
