I am looking to place a order for a Evil Wreckoning now, for next season as I do not expect delivery until the end of the year. Yet no shops have any bikes to test for sizing and the only person I know with a new Evil is a XL, which is way too big for me. According to the size chart, I think I could do either a Medium or Large. I asked Evil and they suggested Medium, but both my local shops said they'd likely encourage me to get a Large.

I am 5'10" with 32" inseam. Both my current bikes, a 2021 Stumpjumper Comp Carbon and my 2020 Niner RIP 9 RDO are Larges and feel real good size wise. So 460-470mm reach and 1210-1228mm wheelbases. But the large Evil is over 1250mm wheelbase and I have never ridden anything that long and worry that it may be cumbersome navigating or may feel like I have to ride the front in a way that is unnatural to me (Or maybe would feel perfect, I just do not know). That said, the Medium Wreckoning has a hair shorter reach than both my current bikes with a wheelbase that matches my Large Stumpy. Anyone near my height have any insight? Thanks.

I ended up speaking with some more people at my height and inseam that had ridden both sizes, including some people at fanatik bikes and all but 1 that I chatted with preferred the medium. So I ordered that size, GX build. Still waiting on it though, supposed delivery is a couple months away. My friend is expecting a large insurgent in a couple weeks, so I may get a brief spin on it to see how it feels before my wreckoning arrives.

I have a 42.5mm and 50mm stem, 180mm dropper and new one up carbon bar waiting to try to fine tune the cockpit.

Nice! That was the size I'd recommend you go with, considering that a Medium Wreckoning has a reach of 462mm. The Large is all the way up to 482mm which seems like it might be too long for you. Additionally, I personally prefer my bikes on the slightly smaller size, especially since modern bikes have become so long and slack compared to just a few years ago. Enjoy the bike!

Thanks for that input. Yeah my S4 Stumpy is 480 reach in the high setting which felt good, but it for sure felt better when I went with a shorter 40mm stem (50mm stock) and in the low geo position. I tend to like to pop around a bit more than plow everything all the time, so I think the Medium will be the right choice. Can't wait for it to show up so I can actually test it out.

And it arrived! Still waiting on my Nobl TR37's and have yet to install protective film, so have not ridden it yet. Plus the brake hoses are obnoxiously long, so I need to fix that. Soon hopefully. View attachment 1951760
Congrats! How did you get yours so quickly? I put an order in for a frame 5 months ago and my ETA just got delayed again into late January 2022.

I'm about the same height specs as you 5'11 32" inseam. I ordered a large (which I'm going to match to a 170mm Zeb) upon recommendation from the folks at Evil. Will be interesting to see how it rides.

I think I just got lucky to get mine within 5 months. My original ETA was actually not until mid November, then got pushed back to December and then magically showed up. I actually have not ridden it yet, my NOBL wheels got delayed by a extra month and I sold off the stock wheels as new take offs. NOBL's arrive today though!

Nice, great timing for the wheels. Please follow up after you take it for a few rides. Curious how you like the fit and feel of the medium.
