If I buy a used Scale, with a spec of a seat post of 34.9, and get the USE shim, can I use my 31.6 Joplin on it? It's a used bike, so I'm not worried about warranty issues, but is it safe?

I have a Scott Ransom that I bought used... very good condition though, and I'm using the same USE shim with an adjustable seat post (KS) with no problems. :thumbsup:

where can I pick up one of these shims? I'd like to fit an adjustable seat post to my Genius but didnt' think I could do this, i couldn't find an adjustable seat post with 34.9mm OD?
