What are the advantages and disadvantages of a slack seat angle? Let's say all mtn vs freeride angles.

Thanks Arkayne for the good info.

My post is incorrect, I meant to say the seat "tube" angle which is built into the frame geometry.

When I raced bmx I raised the nose up so the back of the seat didn't hit me on the chest when I had to get low. I do the same with my MTB on fast technical runs.

The steeper the seat tube angle the easier it is pedal up step technical trails while in the saddle. Super slack seat tube angles put your weight farther back making climbing a bit harder.
