I built up my current bike, a couple seasons ago, and used a derailleur cable set that is sealed for segmented use. The cable ends have nipples that attach to a smaller diameter tube (liner) which connects between the cable stops. I believe it was a Jagwire cable set but don't remember the name. I have seen the Gator Ilink & Delta Powerlines but they don't use regular cable. Anyone know this set or another that serves the same purpose ? Thanks.

Well, Jaguire is a marketed "sealed" system. I don't know the others you mention. I used Avid Flak Jacket cables for a while. They are marketed as "sealed" too; and they we not bad. I returned to XTRs and can't afford the newly priced Gore-Tex.

My frame has cable stops so there are going to be open segments. I know there are cable sets that use cable ends w/ o-rings - not after that setup. I want the cable set that has the liner to sheild the exposed inner cable that also uses standard cable unlike iLink & Powerlink style housing. .
