I am currently riding 2019 patrol size large. 5-10” with 33” inseam. Looking at buying anew scout, but the scout sizing is different.
my large patrol size falls in between the M and L scouts when you look at reach and effective top tube length.
any recommendations from current scout riders that are similar in height? I ride all the trails around Seattle and Bellingham- typical steep pnw stuff. Thanks

Hopefully someone with real saddle time chimes in but I nearly your same height but have a 31 inch inseam barefoot and an ape index of about 1.07. I rented a large Scout this summer in North Carolina and pedaled about 10 miles up some gravel service roads and then rode back down some chunky Pisgah trails in the pouring rain. I thought the bike fit wonderfully and pedaled the fire roads like a champ. I did not feel stretched out at all on the bike. It did feel very natural. That said I definitely did not get enough saddle time to be 100% sure of the fit. I had a gun to my head, I would pick the large.
