Hello,
I posted in the Beginner thread but thought I might get additional input in the Scott-specific forum as well.
I am looking at buying a new mountain bike and found what appears to be a pretty good deal on a Scott Aspect 60 from 2009. Out the door price is $300. I know that this is an entry-level bike, but realistically I will not be pushing the envelope with my riding.
Main use would be dirt trails with my family and potentially some firetrails/singletrack if I get adventurous with friends.
I've heard good things about Scott and it looks like the frame is solid if I want to upgrade in the future.
FWIW, I am 6'2" ish and 220. Current bike is a Cannondale Adventure 4 (which just doesn't seem up to off-pavement riding). If a tire upgrade on my C'dale is a better choice I am open to that as well.
Thanks for any and all input.
