schwinn steel frame recommendation?

I'm looking at getting a steel frame. I want something that I can put a 1 1/8 inch unthreaded fork into. I see that schwinn has a steel frame (can't remember the name) ... can anyone tell me if I can put a front shock on any of the schwinn steel frames? Or perhaps recommend a steel frame for me?
