I´ve got two deals on Scalpels. A 05 2000 with DT 210 rear shox(with the lockout) or a 04 3000 with Fox RP3 propedal shock.

I´ve got no experience with neither DT nor Fox, so I need some advise for the best of the two.

I had RP3 on my Scalpel (which I sold last week, :-( ) and worked like charm.
I would pick RP3 over DT, just because I don't have to wory about hiting the trail bumps with locked shock - RP3 just gives you the travel, you need
I missed complet lock-out only once, on one long road climb, otherwise propedal worked for me...
