With 120mm F29 front end, anyone done this? Ride quality?

Going to be here mid-end of this month. That is if SCB deliver........ Sould be perfect.
I thought my Tallboy rode great with a 100mm Fox on it. Handled DH's really well...didn't wander when I climbed.....didn't feel like it was too fast or too slow, very neutral feeling.

After about 3 weeks I put a 120mm Reba Team. Love it this way better. Slacked out the ront end just a bit....still climbs just as well as the 100mm Fox. DH's were much nicer.

I have thought about keeping the 100mm Fox for racing.....but the 120 works just as well going up and a little better coming down with less than 1/4 lbs. difference in weight.
Ive got a demo right now

The bike is sweet, really, really sweet...but has a 90 or 100 on it now and definitely feels underforked. Think it would enjoy a 120.

What's the bb height (ground to spindle center) with the Reba?
Mine accidently came from Speedgoat with the 120mm instead of the 100mm. I rode it for the first time yesterday and it seemed great. Technical climbing and decending were way better than my last bike. I got a little over 4" of travel yesterday on the breakin in ride in Sedona AZ. No wheel wondering that I could tell. In an e-mail from Santa Cruz about the fork, they said most of their riders were going for the 120mm for everyday use. And on the plus side, you can reduce the travel if desired but can't go the other way. I haven't got any of my own pics yet, but look at Speedgoat's recent builds and you'll see my orange one with a black 120mm fork on it (look for Devin's bike).
I know many people have posted their thoughts in the Santa Cruz forum on this topic - everyone seemed to agree the 120 was the way to go, unless you we're xc racing.

I've tested the TB with the Fox RP23 but have heard the Rock Shox rides much firmer. I would like to hear some opinions on the rear shock
in a similar vain I swapped out my 100mm fox for 120mm fox on my 429 and love it.. biggest difference I found was I can set the fork up to resist fork dive without compromising the suppleness over the little junk and this matches the same action of the rear

Not that bad. I don't have it with me right now. I am curently injured and have loaned it out.

I went with the Monarch.....part of it was price.......part of it was wanting to try something different. I have been pretty happy so far with the Monarch. Need to dial it in a bit more, but has been great. Would eventually like to try the RP23 just to see the difference.

I'm ordering my TB 2 days from now. I'd love to know if the RP23 is worth the extra $93 over the Monarch 3.3
