As far as I know it can handle the Maverick. I demoed one on a Switchblade recently and it was sweeeeet! I only wish i could afford one for my Switchblade. Although it looks a bit like a big DH fork, the Maverick is actually pretty light weight and made for trail riding. And because it's inverted it gives you tons of travel without chopping out your bike.
