what do you guys want to know, lots of cool stuff this year

the sj is coming in 120 and 100 versions, the 100 versions will only be available in expert and comp, the 120 is available in the entire line. not much change in the sworks epic.
The biggest changes this year are in the lower end bikes that we have seen already, the enduro got a nice frame change that we have seen already.

what you guys want to know?

nothing that i took note of, the owner and I looked at the specs on the sworks stuff. I am pretty sure its exactly the same, maybe a part here or there, but travel length is the same. That bike is so good the only thing I could think of changing on it is maybe a part here or there.
2005 Sj

Hi is the only difference in the 05 SJ FSR is the ajustable travel from 100mm to 130mm?

there is now a sj 100 and a sj120, both front and rear is 120mm now, groups are the same, but the shocks have changed. The 130mm front is a manitou, and the rear shock is an "improved" triad with adjustable pro pedel

I wonder why they didn't go with Fox's new TALAS or Float 130?

my guess is to make sure you dont become too dependant on one oem, they still use fox elsewhere thru their line, but maybe they got a better price from manitou. There are many reasons to use different products. Maybe during testing they found that the manitou was a better match. I too was suprised by this move. Although even the sworks sj hardtail had a judy on it last year, I think the only bike the big S put a judy on.
What about the big hit/demo?

What info do you have on the Big hit and demo bikes?
Do you know anything about prices?

Two things:

1.) Was there an S-WORKS Stumpjumper?
2.) What colors were the top line Stumpjumpers? (i.e. Expert, Pro, S-works, etc.)
any msrp's? If so, what was the demo 8 listed as?

any big changes on the bighits?

yes there is an s-works sj, its a 120mm bike, dont remember the color of that bike specifically. The expert is a darker red this year(not burgendy but dark red). Cant believe i cant rember the color of the pro since that bike i was most concerned with since i just bought an 04 sjpro like 2 weeks ago. to be honest i am happy with the 04 and 100mm.

I think the sworks was black, but i could be wrong will try to check that too. I rember that there is a darker blue too. But i do not think that the sworks is blue. Maybe the pro is.

With the 130mm upgrade, this should increase the BB hieght. I wonder if they will come out with a linkage for the 2004 models so that we can run 130mm on the rear.

I hope so, because I'm getting tired of scraping my cranks/pedals on anything in the trail that sits higher than a raised stick or pebble.

which model?
do all stumpys 130mm come with manitou?
hey guys i dont now what i was thinking but i made a mistake, the sj is now 120mm not 130, sorry for the confussion. i edited all my other posts to correct for it.

at this time i do not have any prices.

no, there are 120mm models and 100mm models, but...

expert and elite come in 100mm
comp pro sworks are 120mm
This might be too specific, but I'd like some other SJ details:

- Are they using the XTR Rapid Rise rear derailleur?
- What wheels (disc version) are used on the S-works SJ?
- Is there a different link used on the 120mm versions?

Just curious, how different are the 2005 SJ FSRs compared to the 2004s? Did they simply increase the rear end travel? If so, how? With a longer linkage?
