Sherwood has stepped up to the plate exactly as expected. He has no idea how the cable stops ended up how they are (on top of the top tube). I apologize for venting late last night after working 15 hours straight (the entire time thinking about my sweet frame waiting at home). As you read the posts today, you can tell that I have calmed down a lot after getting all of four hours sleep and realized that Ventana would do whatever it takes to resolve the issue....and the issue has been resolved. Sherwood wants the frame back to correct the problem and that satisfies me 100%...another satisfied customer. I don't mind going another 3-4 weeks if it means I get the nicest ride around - which looking at it last night, I can tell it is...the Orange is awesome and the welds are amazing. Thanks to everyone for allowing me to vent and for those that supported the fact that the bottom routed cables are in fact an improvement - both functionally and aesthetically. I had no intention of dragging Ventana or anyone associated with them through the mud and I apologize if that is how it came across....sometimes fatigue and disappointment result in anger and I apologize for that. I hope to be an accepted (???) and active member on the Ventana forum once I get up and riding....and I am sure Sherwood and company will jump through hoops and cross streams of fire if necessary to get the frame back to me as soon as they humanly can.......thanks again.

I know last night I felt for you man. I know you’ve been waiting on pins and needles for that frame. I wanted to jump in and say everything will be alright. I figured I’d better keep my mouth shut and let Sherwood take care of it.

At least now...

I know what the frame and color look like...I was afraid with it being longer it would look odd...nope...it looks perfect. And the color orange!!!!! WOW!!! My wife said she had never seen a bike look so awesome (and she doesn't really ride that much)...we were like a couple kids....and then I think she realized by the look on my face something was not right....she got very quiet (unusual..hehe). But I tell you, if this thing rides 1/2 as good as it looks....damn!!!! I don't know if it is going to be easier or harder waiting now that I have had a chance to see it.....maybe it will show up on xmas eve...like a xmas gift!!

It rides twice as good as it looks.

I work at a shop and I have my own business (Mountain Pedaler), so there are a lot of bikes available to me on employee deals. I can get Cannondale, Santa Cruz, Trek, etc. a lot cheaper than a Ventana. To me the great people, awesome service, and beautiful frames are extras that come with the best handling bike I've ever thrown a leg over. I truly ride a Ventana because I have never been on a better bike and I've rode a lot of bikes.

...when you first look in the box at your long-anticipated frame! When I first looked at my Salty a month ago, I went through some of the same - elation to see how great it looked, but then worrying that something wasn't right, a classic roller coaster! Everything was cool in my case. I know how you feel about the cable stops, though. I was careful to make sure I got the head badge, but didn't specify the new cable stops/location. I'm pleased to have gotten the new ones, though, and I prefer the under-tube location.

Great to hear that all will be well!
