FIP = 6am

Let's change it up a bit...meet at the 46th street parking lot.

Up Javelina to Mormon or National, then up National to BV.

Maybe throw in a 24th street down/up?

Finish with some burritos at Los Taquitos. (hey that rhymed)

This ride is an 11.

fun ride amigos.
Sorry for being suck a flatso today.
Mike: I hope you didn't get any shaft-ass on the way back.
I had a good time as well and enjoyed everyone's company.

FWIW - Went by Cactus Bikes and put some new cleats on my shoes - the pedals work like a million bucks. I guess the cleats were worn out.

Dang fine ride...

Five met at Javalina. Bob and Sam shot off like rockets while Mike, JB, and I slogged up the trail in our pools of sweat - monsoon time is definitely upon us. We found our legs and continued up Mormon. At the top of the widow maker this guy rolled up looking for a tool to adjust his 2-month old pedals and I asked if he had posted that question recently on MTBR... Yup! We meet daugela. The loose pedal didn't seem to cause this new rider too much trouble. He's got enthusiasm and fitness, natural skills, and arms that rival Walt's guns :p Yuri also caught up with us while we were getting daugela's pedals sorted out and continued on with the group. Soon Mike's saddle took a turn for the worse but thankfully no damage was done to any body parts... he bailed down National - I would have eased back down Mormon, but bike=good was not going to miss out on the National DH he had earned. We crossed paths with the Wed Morning Shuttle crowd and at the waterfall met tmarcos - now that boy has skills! Along the way we also ran into my old friend Crazy Joe and a bunch of his buddies. Leap-froggin with this group down National we had all sorts of fun with do-overs on techy sections. It was a lazy sort of a ride that somehow took a lot out of me. Perhaps the humidity? All the standing around in the heat? Or maybe it was waiting for chongoman's two flat fixes ;) Sam was charging today, btw. No camera to slow him down on this ride!! This time I did the honors of trying to capture the day on film. Enjoy:

That's a "secret" line on the backside of the waterfall. Pretty fun.

...snitchin vid, DG! And nice song selection. :D Thanks for throwing it all together.

There was a lot going on off camera when on that dood was riding the big boy line near the waterfall, cuz about the same time I witnessed Gabe climbing the waterfall.

Durtgurl - great vid, thanks for sharing. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I love sessioning sections the way you guys did.

Thanks to JB (I think) for bringing me that tube.

Holy crap this ride really was an 11. I nailed that high line at the bermuda triangle and the infamous Kenbenit line a little further down. I felt like a rockstar. A wet, sweaty, rockstar. :D

Is there anyone on MTBR we didn't run into? I think not. What was the group up to, like 25 at one point???

Gods bless those burittos. mmmmm.

Nice vid Kathleen. One of these days I'm gonna bring my own camera for one of these...

Bob - "Men put out more gas by volume..." Priceless. That's good science.
