hmmm, bad weekend. Its an Alafia workday and they are opening up a new trail soon so im sure people will want to check it out. Also there is the space shuttle launch, if they ever do the launch the thing.
No excuses! :p

I think I'm going to *try* to make it, but 9 AM is early when you live an hour away :skep:

The Vortex loop and the DJs need the most love. A majority of the usual crew will be in Snowshoe this weekend so any help would be great!!

If you get there late the gate will be unlocked but closed (close back) and just head over to the DJ area to get the low down.

Is there a plan for fixing the DJs?? That "dirt" doesn't seem to respond well to water and shovels, it just sticks to everything.

I'm thinking about heading up to help out and ride, but camping during the summer is pretty hellish.

Wish I could make it. I've been wanting to see the process. Unfortunately, I already have plans to meet people at Razorback.

Happy B-day d-girl.

Darn.. I may be flying solo on Saturday then! They're teaching a chainsaw course at the Sheriff's Substation at 8AM which I might attend. Or I might show up a little later at 10ish and just help the trail crew.

It looks like I may be able to help out tomorrow. Seems like the crew I plan to ride with are thinking of doing Santos Saturday and Razorback on Sunday instead. How long long is the maintenance going to last?

Quick question, when we show up to the meet, are the bikes going to be looked after, do we take them along? How does this usually work?

We'll drive in and leave our bikes inside the Vortex side. It's best to bring a lock to lock your bike to the rack. I'll have my Jeep there with a cable lock so if you want you can just throw your bike on my Jeep and I'll lock it up for you.

Thanks Jim. I should be able to put in at least a couple of hours helping out. What time are you thinking of showing up? You mentioned 9 and 8:00 am.

I was going to be there at 8 am for the chainsaw class they're teaching at the Sheriff's station but that's just too early for me. I'm thinking of leaving around 9, which puts me there around 10ish or so. I'll probably volunteer a few hours and then go for a ride afterwards.

Hey Jim, the trail work and the ride afterwards was fun, at least after my RD cable was finally adjusted. My email is cuadraae#yahoo.com (# = @). How did the video's of the FR guys come out?

The video of the FR guys was cool.. turned out great. I was surprised! I really like my Cannon.. it's easy to carry on the trail since it's so small. I'll post the videos as soon as I get a chance.. they're on my computer at home and I'm at the office so I won't be able to do it until later. I think Tuesday I might go riding somewhere. By the way.. I'm riding at San Felasco tonight as soon as I get off work @ 6PM.
