Juilliard Park, Downtown Santa Rosa 2-8pm. The Jamboree features live entertainment, kids' fun, $5 BBQ, outdoor gear demonstrations and prizes, and informational booths about local trails and open spaces. BBQ (chicken, steak, roasted veggies), spread of salads, 4 layer deserts, iced coffees and teas, lemonade, mixed cheeses with crackers and bread, raw veggies and blue cheese dips, and more.

First 100 people receive a super light spork, courtesy of Light My Fire. The more people who show up, the better our chances are to hold a fund raiser at our favorite urban park in 2009. In 2009, we plan to offer races, kayaking, and kegs!

Participants will enjoy the spirit of the recreational community, while grooving to the hottest live music, featuring Bay Area music artists The Thugz, Vinyl (playing two funky sets), and The Jason Bodlovich Group. MC: Jim McCray: Manager of Sonoma County Regional Parks, Guest speaker Traci Verardo-Torres, Legislative and Policy Director for the California State Parks Foundation, will address sustainable funding for the future of our State Parks.

The Jamboree is sponsored by: The Sonoma County Trails Council, BikeMonkey, Clif Bar, Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District, Sonoma Land Trust, Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods, LandPaths, Sonoma County Regional Parks, California State Parks, REI, Camelbak, Sonoma Outfitters, and Marmot.
