"Trail/AM" build

OK, I'll play. Hopefully more owners post so that there will eventually be a good amount of info in this thread. I don't race XC, but wanted a light, all-around bike for everything other than DH or bike parks as I have a Nomad 3 for those. As such, apparently mine is more, uhh, full-bodied (or fat) than the OP's bike....

Yes, mine is a porky 24.91# with computer and Arundel bottle cage.

Medium frame size with custom paint and Invisiframe
Fox 34SC 120mm
BikeYoke Revive 150mm dropper post
Light Bicycle XC923 rims / I9 hubs
Maxxis Rekon 2.25 tires
Xpedo SPRY pedals
SRAM Guide RSC brakes 180/160mm
Race Face NEXT riser bar, 760mm
Race Face Turbine R stem, 50mm
ESI grips
Chris King headset
WTB Volt SL8 saddle, carbon rails
Race Face Next R crankset
BBInfinite ceramic BB
SRAM X01 Eagle group
RWC shock eyelet needle bearing kit

Nice! A trail slayer. Glad you went with the 34? How do you like the Rekons? Just bought a pair for the Sierras.

I spec'd a 34SC and Rekons after demoing a Blur X01 with the 32SC and Aspens. The 34SC is definitely a better fork for all-around trail riding, but I'm still not sure about the Rekons. Might go with a more trail-oriented tire for the front.

I’ve been riding mine for a couple of months now, SC 34 makes it a very versatile bike that I can grab as a daily driver and throw on lighter tires for racing. Quickly becoming one of my all time favorite bikes and I’d rate it higher than other more popular options. As common as Santa Cruz bike’s are - I don’t see many Blurs out there... I’ll post some pics later.

Blur Tr

I have a pretty out of the box Blur Tr X01 build with Reserves.

I added carbon saddle, 9point8 Fall Like R dropper, XTR pedals, Dave-O carbon cage, ESI grips (work well with twist lock), and change out tires based on trails.

It is hugely more versatile than some of the XC bikes I have had in the past (Like Epic's) and I do not feel much downside either.

Solid bike.

Yep! I think my one gripe about the bike is how the cables are handled...something inelegant about how they have to bend around the bottle cage. But that's probably just being nit picky.

Here is mine. Mostly stock Blur CC X01 TR. The few changes I've made so far have been to extend to the SC34 to 120, replaced the TwistLoc after two failures with the Fox remote, changed out the grips to ESI Chunky's, changed the dropper to a Transfer during the remote change, changed the front tire to a Ardent 2.4.

I am considering sending the shock into Fox to have the tune changed and the remote removed from the shock. I really don't think the bike needs a remote for my riding style and area, simply flip the lever if needed.

Same here on the rear remote. Sent mine in to Fox. Took a couple weeks. Nearly everything I ride in southern Cal is climb then descend, little if any flow trails or xco style courses. Plus I like the “trail” setting on both fork and shock.
