As of April 10/2014 Herman Parker, joining San Diego from Santa Barbara, was named the new director of parks and recreation in San Diego.

Personally, I'm pretty stoked about this give the lack of any progress over the past decade.

I do hope we can all work together in a manner that has not been achieved in the past.
