I have been in contact with several dealers looking for a Salsa Timberjack SLX and they all quote the price $200 higher than Salsa's retail price listed on their website. What gives?

Salsa's website shows $1399 MSRP for SLX Timberjack.

Do you have a REI store near you? You can get it for MSRP there, but as fall is approaching, I would think prices may go down some.
