Saints v mt7

I'm considering changing out my current brake set up, Shimano saints with 223mm galfer rotor front and 203mm rear!, to magura mt7 with the same size rotors as before but the magura MDR rotors! My question is are the maguras as powerful as the saints? Id really appreciate some incite! Cheers

You have Saints with Galfer 223 and 203 rotors and they are not power full enough ? Do you have 1.8 or 2.0 rotors?

They are plenty powerful enough, I've had them for 3 years, if I'm totally honest id just like to try something new! I'm using the 2mm rotors!

The power will be plus minus the same, just different ’feel/modulation’.

I find the MT7s more powerful than Saints, both using Shimano discs.

Think about how easy it is to bleed Saints before you change them out.

I don’t know anything about Maguras, but my Saints are pretty damn good and very, very easy to maintain. It’s going to take A LOT for me to ever change.

What I'm gathering from this is the two are very similar, but weight wise MT7s should be lighter?

Yes, power is there, had both. Its just different feeling at first - you get used to it in few rides. Recomend HC1 levers, prefer ALU feeling vs. stock one :)
So I've gone for a pair of mt7 Pros with mdr p rotors, 220 front and 203 rear! It's going to be a while before I can try then, found a crack in my frame so just waiting for a warrenty replacement! Thanks for the replies people!

Agreed. My MT7s felt horrible until I bought the fancy levers. I never could get rid of the rotor rub in the Maguras so I'd have to say I like my Saints better.
